Pack-A-Lunch Fellowship Sunday
Are you up for something a little different?…
An interest has been expressed in trying something a little out of the ordinary. The deacons have approved a trial run this summer. What is it?
A once-a-month, bring-your-own-lunch,
brief-afternoon-service, no-evening-service Sunday.
* This is, admittedly, a matter of convenience for those who drive a distance and/or have young families.
* Just as important, it’s also about creating some quality time for fellowship during lunch and following the afternoon service.
* It’s also a great opportunity for you to engage in ministry. We ask you to prayerfully consider using the extra night a month for encouragement, edification, or evangelism as God directs you.
We will do this on a trial basis on May 30, July 4, July 25, & August 29 (or maybe Sept. 5 Labor Day weekend instead?).
Here’s how it will work. If you want to participate, bring lunch for your family (and maybe a little extra so you can invite someone else to stay and join you). You will be responsible to set up, take down, and clean after using whatever of the church’s facilities and equipment you need. We’ll have a brief, informal service after lunch and be on our way.
There will be a Church Family Chat Sunday,September 19 after the evening service to evaluate and determine whether or not to continue this on a once-a-month basis.
Anticipating a refreshing summer,
Pastor M, Pastor J, & Deacons
